All of us that every year organized the ATP Open Castilla y Leon are very satisfied with the recent award that the ATP and ITF has given to the Tournament, “The Best Challenger in 2009”.

 

We are very proud of this award because if we have been chosen between 162 Challenger Tournaments that were played in 42 different countries worldwide it is an important event coming directly from the Tennis world.

 

The winner of the last edition, Feliciano Lopez, also has said that he feels very happy because of the award. All the tennis players who won the Tournament have in their memory a great remember, as they said Federer, Nadal, Stepanek, Del Potro or Verdasco.

 

This award has done that we remember to those people who have worked in the Tournament such us Institutions, and of course specially to our Honour President Mr. Pedro Muñoz, who had one day the idea of organize a Tennis Tournament, that nowadays is the best challenger of the World.
